Every Wednesday will be an Early Release day. We will dismiss school at 2:45 p.m.
Why do we do this?
Teachers and staff that work in isolation are not nearly as effective as those who work together in teams. Creating opportunities for team collaboration and continuous improvement takes time to meet, time that we do not often have within the regular workday. The expectation will be for staff to work together to design common assessments and instruction that best meet the needs of all students and their different abilities and learning styles. Working in isolation is no longer possible. During Early Release days the staff will work together in teams to develop their skills and plan lessons together.
How does this work?
Every Wednesday throughout the school year students would go home one hour earlier (2:45 p.m.).
