The Timber Ridge Lego Robotics team competed at the Qualifying Tournament in Salem, OR on December 3rd, 2017. At the tournament, the team presented their project, robot, and understanding of the First Lego League’s Core Values to thee panels of judges. They also competed in the Robot Game, completing missions related to the theme of HydroDynamics on the competition table. The project consisted of a timer used to shut off shower water to help shorten the length of showers, thus conserving water. The team placed first in Robot Design and received an ACE (Advance to Championship Event) Award and will compete at the State Championship event in Hillsboro, OR on January 14th, 2018.
